Education

Andreu Diport (b. 1998) is a composer, orchestrator, and arranger from Barcelona. He was part of the Montserrat Abbey Choir School (Escolania de Montserrat), the "Oriol Martorell" Artistic School, and the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona. He began his composition studies at the Catalonia College of Music (ESMUC) with Bernat Vivancos and Mauricio Sotelo, and later continued his formation with Paweł Łukaszewski and Tomasz Opałka at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, sponsored by the Fundació Universitària Agustí Pedro i Pons. He also participated in the Screen Scoring program of the Accademia Musicale Chigiana. Recently, he received a fully-funded fellowship from "La Caixa" Foundation to pursue the Screen Scoring M.A. at the USC Thornton School of Music (Los Angeles), where he was awarded the Harry Warren Endowed Scholarship and named Joe and Alice Harnell Scholar for Screen Scoring. His mentors there included Peter Golub, Pete Anthony, Garry Schyman, and Lolita Ritmanis, among others.

He has collaborated with numerous performers, including the Polski Chór Kameralny, the Balthasar Neumann Chor, the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès (OSV), all the choirs of the Palau de la Música Catalana (Orfeó Català, Cor de Cambra del Palau, Cor de Noies, Cor Jove, Cor Infantil, de Petits i de Mitjans), L'Escolania de Montserrat, the Chopin University Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Scoring Orchestra, Bratislava Symphony Orchestra (BSO), BCN216 ensemble, Cor "Amics de l'Òpera de Sabadell", Cor de Cambra de Granollers, Cor Bruckner, Noctes Cor de Cambra, Coral Sant Jordi, Cobla Sant Jordi - Ciutat de Barcelona, Coral l'Atlàntida, Juan de la Rubia, Julian Prégardien, Carles&Sofia Piano Duo, and Vicenç Prunés, among others.

As a composer, orchestrator, or arranger, he has worked in venues such as the Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona), L'Auditori [Sala Oriol Martorell] (Barcelona), Abadia de Montserrat (Barcelona), Gdańsk Archcathedral (Poland), Sala Verdi (Milano), Auditorio Manuel de Falla (Granada), L'Atlàntida de Vic, Auditori Palau de Congressos de Girona, Teatre Auditori de Granollers, Santa Maria del Pi (Barcelona), Ateneu Barcelonès, and the "Casal del Metge" Concert Hall (Barcelona), among others. He has recorded in studios including Warner Bros. Studios (USA), Evergreen Studios (USA), Bandrika Studios (USA), the Village Studios (USA), the Rottenbiller Studio (Budapest), Slovak Radio Studio 2 (Bratislava), and has participated in several music festivals. He has recorded for KNS Classical, and part of his music is published by Ficta Edicions.
